Tips!!
1. The surface of playing cards is slick. To provide some "tooth" so collage elements stay in place after being glued, first sand the surface of the playing card lightly with fine grit sandpaper or use a coat of clear gesso!! White or black gesso works great too!
2. Overstamp patterned papers or text with background stamps. This adds some additional interest to your backgrounds!
3. Use oil pastels, chalks or colored pencils to apply color to "plain" backgrounds. Remember to seal chalks with some sort of sealer.
4. Odd numbers are more interesting than even ones. If you're adding butterflies or stars to your ATC, add 3!
